Latest News ... Wednesday 10th March

The first of the League Cup finalists were decided at the weekend: St Marks Dragons and FC Lakeside U11 won their semi-finals to book a place at Cheltenham Town FC on Sunday 25th April. Swindon Village Bowmen U14 also won their semi-final, and will meet the winner of the Badsey Rangers v Gotherington semi being played on Sunday.

Evesham United U11 beat Charlton Rovers 3-1 in the final Round 1 tie of the Robins Sevens Trophy competition at the Abbey Business Stadium, Whaddon Road, on Saturday afternoon. We now move on to the quarter-finals, beginning with St Marks Dragons v Cleeve Colts on Saturday 20th March (1.40pm), prior to the Cheltenham Town v Port Vale League 2 match.

A copy of the latest League newsletter, e-mailed to Club Secretaries last week is here, and a reminder of the various approaching administrative deadlines and events is listed on the Dates for the Diary page. The full updated list of handbook amendments is here.

There have been an increasing number of reports of alleged adult-related misconduct lately. Clubs - please remember that you are responsible for the behaviour of your players, officials and supporters at matches. Any club that is found guilty of charges by a County FA Disciplinary Commission not only risks its FA Charter Standard status, but also faces the possibility of further action by the League Management Committee in the best interests of the League, which could include expulsion from membership. We would remind all members of the RESPECT Codes of Conduct contained in the League Handbook.

A handful of opportunities remain to take advantage of the generous match-day experience trip that Cheltenham Town FC offers our member clubs. The day out at the Abbey Business Stadium includes free tickets for the manager and assistant, discounted tickets for players and parents, match programmes (featuring your team), a ground tour and the chance to meet the players. Details are here. Contact Tony Symonds at CTFC on 01242 588103, to book your visit.
